Chevron beads were historically used as trade beads in Africa and are highly prized for their craftsmanship and vibrant designs. They are crafted through a process called drawn glassmaking in which multiple layers of colored glass are gathered and layered around a central core in a specific sequence to create a pattern.The glass is formed into a long cane and cut into sections.The ends of the cut sections are ground and polished to reveal the cross-sectional design, typically a star or floral motif.

These lovely large focal beads vary slightly in size at 17mm. The bead hole can accommodate a 1.25mm cord. They are sold in pairs.
